ACT/SAT Tutoring

Bound For College provides ACT & SAT tutoring at no charge to the students or their families. Students are taught by certified school teachers who have gone through training specific to the exams. Students receive exam fee waivers from the schools or Bound For College. Students have the opportunity to take two mock exams and two official exams per semester.

Summer Enrichment

Students are matched to a summer program hosted by a Bound For College partner or enrolled into the Bound For College Summer Program. The Bound For College Summer Program focuses on college application essays, financial aid application, and college applications. Other programs students may be matched with are Morehouse College’s Upward Bound Math Science Southeastern Regional Institute and Achieve of Palm Beach County’s Summer Institute.

College Tours

Year-round college trips are offered to students at no cost. Students have previously visited FIU, FAU, PBSC, Lynn University, UCF, USF, UF, FSU & UNF. During college tours, students tour the campus, observe dorms, and learn about support programs available on campus.

College Preparation

Rising and current seniors in Bound For College receive guidance from school teachers in regard to applying for colleges, financial aid, and writing competitive, personalized essays.

Family Strengthening

Students in Bound For College not only have the privilege of having academic support but also emotional support. The Family Strengthening Program allows students to have an unbiased outlet with licensed mental health counselors. Developmental counseling provides students the opportunity to improve their mental health to allow them to thrive academically.

Career Exploration

Our Career Exploration Program allows volunteers to interact with high school students by sharing their career paths. Conversations between volunteers and students are vital for students who are unsure, curious or uncertain about their own career paths.

Middle School

Middle school students attending Village Academy attend hands-on STEM activities to learn about the fun side of science. In addition to STEM activities, students attend creative sessions at the Delray Beach Public Library which offers students hands-on experience with 3-D printing, computer programming, and the music creation lab.
